Terms of Service

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you and StartUp Newswire (operated by Dizrupt Ltd, company number 15349909, registered at 72 Ridgeway, Hurst Green, Etchingham, East Sussex, TN19 7PJ, United Kingdom, trading as StartUp Newswire) governing your access to and use of the StartUp Newswire website and platform, including the free press release submission service (collectively, the “Service”).

Please read these terms carefully before creating an account or submitting content. By creating an account or submitting a press release, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service and capable of forming a binding legal agreement. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

If you are submitting content on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms, and that references to “you” in these terms include both you personally and that entity.

The Service is not available to any user who has previously been suspended or removed from the platform by StartUp Newswire.

2. Your account

Creating an account

To submit a press release, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information up to date. You must not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity or affiliation when creating an account.

Account security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@startupnewswire.com if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account.

StartUp Newswire will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised use of your account where that unauthorised use results from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

Account termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms, submitted content in breach of our Content Guidelines, or used the Service in a manner that is harmful, unlawful, or damaging to the platform or third parties.

3. Submitting content

What you are submitting

The free submission service allows you to submit a press release for publication on the StartUp Newswire newsroom and for associated social media activity, subject to editorial review. Submission does not guarantee publication. All submitted content is reviewed against our Content Guidelines before going live.

Authorisation to submit

By submitting a press release, you represent and warrant that:

  • you are an employee, founder, director, or formally appointed representative of the company named in the press release, or you have been formally engaged by that company to act on their behalf as a PR professional or communications representative;
  • you have the authority to make the statements contained in the press release on that company’s behalf;
  • you are not submitting content about a company you do not work for, do not represent, or have not been authorised to represent.

Submitting a press release about a company without authorisation is a material breach of these terms and may give rise to legal liability. StartUp Newswire accepts no responsibility for content submitted without proper authorisation and reserves the right to remove such content immediately upon discovery.

Accuracy of content

You represent and warrant that all content you submit is accurate, truthful, and not misleading. You must not submit content that contains false claims, fabricated data, invented quotes, or statements that you know or reasonably ought to know to be untrue.

Licence to publish

By submitting content to StartUp Newswire, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on our platform and associated channels, including social media, for as long as the content remains on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

This licence includes the right to format, excerpt, or adapt the content for display purposes, but not to materially alter the factual substance of what you have submitted.

You may request removal of your content by contacting us. We will consider such requests but are not obligated to remove content that has already been published, particularly where it forms part of the public record.

Your responsibility for content

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. StartUp Newswire acts as a platform for publication and does not verify the accuracy of submitted content beyond our editorial review process. Publication of your press release does not constitute endorsement of its contents by StartUp Newswire.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StartUp Newswire, its operators, employees, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • content you have submitted, including any claim that your content is inaccurate, defamatory, or infringes any third-party right;
  • your submission of content without proper authorisation to represent the named company;
  • your breach of any provision of these terms;
  • your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

4. Content standards

All content submitted through the Service must comply with our Content Guidelines, which are incorporated into these terms by reference and available at startupnewswire.com/content-guidelines.

The Content Guidelines set out what types of content are accepted, what is prohibited, and the standards of accuracy, style, and transparency we require. Submitting content that does not comply with the Content Guidelines may result in rejection, removal, or account suspension.

5. Prohibited conduct

In addition to compliance with the Content Guidelines, you agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • submit content on behalf of a company you are not authorised to represent;
  • impersonate any person, company, or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • use automated tools, scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any account other than your own;
  • transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or any content designed to manipulate search engines;
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
  • harvest or collect personal information about other users without their consent;
  • upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.

6. Intellectual property

StartUp Newswire’s property

The StartUp Newswire platform, including its design, software, branding, structure, and all content produced by StartUp Newswire, is the intellectual property of StartUp Newswire and its operators. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or platform content other than as strictly necessary to use the Service as intended.

Your content

As set out in section 3, you retain ownership of the content you submit. You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademarks.

Copyright complaints

If you believe that content published on our platform infringes your copyright, please contact us at hello@startupnewswire.com with the following information:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
  • the URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing content on our platform;
  • a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement that the information you have provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.

We will investigate legitimate complaints and take appropriate action, which may include removal of the content in question.

7. Privacy and data

When you create an account, you provide us with personal information including your name and email address. We process this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at startupnewswire.com/privacy-policy, and our Cookie Policy, available at startupnewswire.com/cookie-policy.

By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy and consent to the processing of your personal data as described therein.

We will use your email address to send you account-related communications. You may also receive occasional updates about the Service. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

8. Third-party services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, tools, or services. These are provided for convenience only. StartUp Newswire does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. StartUp Newswire does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content published on the platform, including content submitted by users. Publication does not constitute verification or endorsement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StartUp Newswire and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the greater of the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after updated terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of those terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have a complaint or dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@startupnewswire.com so that we can try to resolve it informally.

13. General

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Content Guidelines and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StartUp Newswire regarding your use of the Service.

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms at our discretion.
