Saudi startup backed by Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health aims to transform hospital workflows with AI that understands 28 Arabic dialects.

Nuxera AI, a Saudi Arabia-based healthtech startup, has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding from Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health to accelerate its mission of building an Arabic-first AI hub for healthcare.

Founded in 2024 by Amin El Hemaily (CEO), Asad Khan (CTO), and Nada Hassan (CCO), Nuxera develops AI-powered tools designed to integrate seamlessly into hospital systems and support Arabic-speaking clinicians. Its flagship product, SERA, captures doctor–patient conversations across 28 Arabic dialects and automatically generates structured, SNOMED, ACHI, SBS, and ICD-10–coded clinical notes — cutting documentation time by more than 70%.

Nuxera also offers a “Talk to Your Data” engine that allows healthcare administrators to query hospital data in plain Arabic and instantly retrieve operational, financial, or clinical insights.

This investment is not just a validation of our technology — Saudi innovation is no longer following global trends, it is setting them” said Amin El Hemaily, co-founder and CEO. “We’ve designed our AI to embed within the daily realities of healthcare systems, to understand Arabic dialects as spoken by real doctors, to code notes the way payers require, and to surface insights the way leaders think.”

The funding will be used to expand Nuxera’s engineering and commercial teams in Saudi Arabia, support additional hospital deployments, and enhance AI models through clinical partnerships.

We back founders who pair deep technical expertise with an unwavering commitment to solving real healthcare challenges, and that’s exactly what Amin, Nada, and Asad are doing with Nuxera” said Joshua Ford, Managing Director at Redesign Health. “By building Arabic-first AI that understands 28 dialects, they’re addressing a need global players have never met.”

A spokesperson for Sanabil Investments added: “We are proud that Nuxera is the first company to emerge from the Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health. The team is tackling one of the most pressing challenges in healthcare with bold, Arabic-first innovation.”

The Riyadh-based startup aims to deploy its platform across hospital networks and health clusters, driving efficiency, compliance, and clinical accuracy while advancing Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 goal of becoming a global leader in digital health innovation.
