Hubert raises €2.5M seed to automate high-volume hiring

Stockholm-based Hubert raises €2.5M seed led by Spintop Ventures to scale its AI platform for automating high-volume hiring.

Hubert, a Stockholm-based recruitment platform using AI to automate high-volume hiring, has raised €2.5 million in seed funding led by Spintop Ventures. The round also drew investment from Bonnier family members Jakob Tolleryd, Peder Bonnier, and Joen Bonnier.

The company, which says it has remained profitable while scaling, will use the funds to accelerate product development as it targets 400% revenue growth in 2025. Its platform autonomously conducts structured interviews around the clock, helping employers cut recruiter screening time by up to 80% while improving candidate quality fivefold.

Hubert is setting a new global standard for fair, data-driven hiring” said Peter Carlsson, partner at Spintop Ventures. “Hubert’s explainable AI has all the ingredients to scale into a category leader.”

Founded by CEO Fredrik Östgren, Hubert serves industries where recruitment volumes are high, including retail, logistics, hospitality, and business process outsourcing. The company’s customers include Securitas, Coop, and ManpowerGroup.

The AI-driven platform is designed to provide consistent, bias-aware evaluation while giving candidates personalized feedback. According to the company, it achieves a 9/10 average candidate experience rating.

This investment gives us the funds to accelerate our product roadmap and seize the opportunity ahead” Östgren said. “We’re revolutionizing large-scale hiring for our customers; and doing it profitably, with fairness and transparency at the core.”

Hubert integrates with multiple applicant tracking systems and is positioning itself as a scalable, human-centric alternative to manual screening as demand for ethical automation grows.
