Eagl raises €825K pre-seed for agentic finance AI

Eagl raised €825K pre-seed to scale an AI-native finance platform that automates month-end close and audit workflows via ERP integrations.

Eagl, a Belgian startup automating finance workflows with AI, has raised €825,000 in pre-seed funding. The round was led by Syndicate One and CNBB Equity Partners, with participation from SaaS founders including Matthias Geeroms (Lighthouse), Joris Van Der Gucht (Silverfin, Ravical), Jeroen De Wit (Teamleader), Lorenz Bogaert (Rydoo, StarApps), Louis Jonckheere (Showpad), Roeland Delrue (Aikido Security), and the Henchman founding team.

Founded in April 2025, Eagl is developing an AI-native Financial Agentic Platform that connects to ERP and accounting systems to automate accounting and controlling tasks. The platform continuously monitors data quality, resolves anomalies with business context, and shortens audit cycles—helping finance teams reduce errors and accelerate month-end close.

Most finance teams are stretched thin, fixing problems instead of adding real value. With Eagl, we turn days of manual checking into instant insights, empowering finance leaders to focus on strategy while auditors get cleaner books, faster.” ~ Samuel Van Innis, co-founder and CEO.

Co-founder and CFO Frederik Bakx added: “Beyond automating workflows, we continuously monitor data quality and resolve anomalies in real time. This means finance teams can close faster, scale efficiently, and cut down the time and stress of audits.”

Eagl’s AI agents aim to transform finance operations by handling repetitive data-gathering and reconciliation work, freeing teams to focus on analysis. Early backers say the platform addresses one of finance’s most persistent pain points.

Eagl is tackling one of the most frustrating bottlenecks in finance with technology that actually understands business context” ~ Matthias Geeroms, Co-founder & CFO at Lighthouse.

The startup was founded by Samuel Van Innis, Frederik Bakx, Benoit Baervoets, and Brecht Carnewal, experienced operators from Henchman, Rydoo, and Lighthouse. The new funding will support engineering hires, product development, and European expansion.
